At the moment, we are charging $3/month to subscribe to the KommunityKoin proprietary Koin system that allows you to have a KoinPurse of time tracking credits, or Koins, to use as a means of timekeeping, rather than the old version of timekeeping that relied on cumbersome line ledger or spreadsheet style entries. This system makes time banking truly easy and convenient. KoinPurse is the only part of the website that is by subscription. The rest of the website, with all of its valuable content, is absolutely FREE.

KoinPages, a "yellow pages" of KommunityKoin and KoinPurse users is coming in phase 2 of development, but for now, KommunityKoin helps you to build your time banking community or Kommunity through education and resources. We teach you how to build a community or Kommunity and offer the Koin system of "time tracking credits" that serves as a timekeeping ledger to easily facilitate the starting and tracking of your time banking Kommunity. We do everything possible to facilitate the building of communities and Kommunities but the actual "building" is up to you.

Each KommunityKoin Kommunity will establish their own structures, procedures and means of communicating within their own group. Every Kommunity is different and has different needs, therefore, we leave it up to the individual Kommunities to make those decisions for themselves.

No. Koins have no monetary value. They simply serve as a means of timekeeping within a Kommunity and help in ensuring equitability within that Kommunity and between Kommunities. See the KoinPurse Terms of Use for details.

The button for unsubscribing from the subscription Koin system is found on your profile screen at the bottom right hand corner. Note; if you unsubscribe, you cannot re-subscribe for six months. See the User Guide for details.

At the moment, time co-ops and time banking don't seem to be considered taxable income but rather a means of fostering community support. However, it is the responsibility of the user to know their own tax situation and should consult the IRS website or a CPA for any questions about their own potential tax obligations. Note: any misuse of KoinPurse may increase the likelihood of tax obligations on the part of the user. See the KoinPurse Terms of Use for details.

Yes. KommunityKoin is available anywhere that has internet access. GotKoin, LLC dba KommunityKoin, dba KoinPurse is a US company and follows US laws. If you are using KommunityKoin in a different country, be aware of any laws that may apply in the country of use.

Yes there are. A Google search is the best way to locate other platforms in your area or that may be brought to your area.
